Abby Innocent

Abby is clearly innocent because it was Proctor who wanted the affair in the first place.  Abby says, “I know how you clutched my back behind your house and sweated like a stallion whenever I come near!”  This shows how he was the one that wanted her so much even though he wasn’t supposed to have her.  Proctor is a hypocritical man who isn’t happy with his wife so he is fooling around with a young girl who would not object to it.  Proctor is the villain because he can’t even admit to the problem.  He wouldn’t even tell his wife he was even in the same room as Abby by themselves.  He is a liar and cheater and nothing good can come from someone like that.
